Sue the Construction Cat

Sue is a real kitten, rescued on 14 July 2026 from the skid plate of a Komatsu excavator on a River Reach Construction job site in Barberton, Ohio. The crew ran a naming poll and announced the result on 21 July: officially Komatsu, after the machine, and Sue for short. Komatsu the company later sent a miniature safety vest and hard hat, which she modelled in a post on 30 July. She is due to become the company's permanent shop cat.

The token came six weeks later. Its principal PancakeSwap pair on BNB Smart Chain opened at 12:48 UTC on 24 August 2026, and the project says it launched through Flap. Its registered on-chain name is 施工猫, construction cat, with SUE as the ticker. The Chinese name was in the contract from the start rather than arriving later as a community translation.

The project describes itself as an unaffiliated fan token and states that it is not endorsed by or connected to the construction crew, the photographer, Komatsu Ltd., BNB Chain, PancakeSwap or Flap. Its stated mechanics are a fixed one billion supply, no team allocation, a renounced contract, a zero percent buy tax and a one percent sell tax paid to holders in BNB. Those are project claims and have not been verified here against the contract or the holder list.

Same-name warning: a DexScreener search for the on-chain name at 12:02 UTC on 25 August 2026 returned at least 26 distinct contracts across BNB Smart Chain, Robinhood Chain, Solana and Ethereum, including 17 on Robinhood Chain deployed at roughly hourly intervals with near-identical liquidity. The ticker alone does not identify this token.

Unverified: who deployed the token, who controls the website and social accounts, holder concentration once pools and related wallets are excluded, whether the BNB distribution operates as described, whether Sue's rescuers approve of the token, and whether any proceeds reach the cat, the crew or an animal rescue.
